Recent Advances in Environmental Economics

 

Learning objectives:

Students possess an in-depth understanding of recent advances and current debates in environmental and resource economics. Their know-how includes the ability to write and present their own scientific elaborations. Students will learn to present their core results in a fixed time limit and defend their position. Additionally, they will learn to critically take a stand on the elaborations of a fellow student by writing and presenting a comment paper. They are in a good position to apply the techniques of scientific writing in further papers and theses.

Qualifications necessary for attendance:

The basic courses on the Masters level (i.e. ‘Theoretical Foundations in Economics’ and ‘Methods in Economics’) should have been passed successfully. Moreover, the student should have successfully completed the corresponding lecture courses (i.e. ‘Cost-Benefit Analysis and Environmental Valuation’ and ‘Resource Economics and Environmental Policy’).
