Consumer Policy

The modul »Consumer Policy« combines a thorough theoretical analysis of the sources of market failure in the consumption sector with a practice-oriented treatment of the instruments of consumer policy. The centre of interest is the realization of the principle of consumer sovereignty in political practice.

The module consistes of a lecture and an accompanying exercise class. The later offers students the opportunity to get a deeper understanding of the topics dealt with in the lecture course by solving numerical exercises and discussing case studies on current problems of consumer policy.

The module consumer policy is offered every summer semester.
